When A Man Loves A Woman

When a man really loves a woman, he:

Doesn’t take advantage of her giving nature

Does listen to her when she expresses her needs and strives to meet them.

Doesn’t cause her temptation or put her in harm’s way

Does show self-restraint and does his best to protect her

Doesn’t make promises he won’t keep

Does believe that his honor is valuable

Doesn’t give her as little as he can

Does provide generously of himself and his resources

Doesn’t stop courting her

Does recognize that a woman is designed to feel needed and wanted, worth his time and effort

Doesn’t rush the relationship

Does takes time to get to know her likes, dislikes, hopes and dreams

Doesn’t refuse to engage in family gatherings

Does reach out to know her family and friends. Because he intends to stay

Doesn’t come into the relationship devoid of friends

Does have respectful, mature friends

  1. Its sad that these qualities do not describe the husbands we’ve had. I know in my heart that I am better off without him and that God removed him from my life. Our divorce is just beginning and I dread the whole process, but God has promised to fight for me. God has promised I will hold my peace and remain at rest. I am standing on and clinging to that promise.
On the other side of the sadness is lots of hope for the future. God’s plans for honor and prosperity; plans that include people who are loving and dependable. Perhaps a man will come into our lives with all the wonderful qualities the ex- husbands do not possess.
    Thank you for sharing this.
